Components of the Test:

Understanding the Test Report:
Reactive → Possible syphilis infection (needs confirmation with TPHA/FTA-ABS)
Non-Reactive → No syphilis, or very early infection
Falling titers after treatment → Indicates successful treatment
Rising titers → Reinfection or treatment failure

How is the Test Done?
The blood sample is tested for antibodies using flocculation methods on VDRL antigen.
