Understanding the Test Report:
Normal sperm count: ≥15 million/mL
Total motility: ≥40%
Progressive motility: ≥32%
Normal morphology: ≥4% (strict criteria)
Abnormal values may indicate fertility issues or infections.
Preparation and Procedure:
Abstinence from ejaculation for 2–7 days before sample collection
Sample should be collected via masturbation into a sterile container
Avoid lubricants (they affect sperm motility)
Deliver sample to lab within 30–60 minutes
Keep sample at body temperature during transport
